Another Filipina is making Pinoys proud after earning her spot in the next round of Ireland’s Got Talent.
13-year old Shaniah Llane Rollo wowed Ireland’s Got Talent judges giving her 4-way standing ovation along with the audience.
Based in Dublin, Ireland, the Pinay kid sang her rendition of Cyndi Lauper’s classic “True Colors”.
Originally from Sta. Cruz, Laguna, Shanaiah migrated to Ireland with her parents 2 years ago.
Music in her blood
Coming from a family of musicians; his father Narz being a singer-composer her mother Joy also a singer, and her sister Mia Kyarra being a member of a local band, Shaniah revealed she had no formal music training prior to the competition making the judges more amazed.
Meanwhile, in a Facebook interview with her sister Mia Kyarra, Culture Connexion was able to learn that Shaniah started to show her love for singing when she was just 1 year old.
Mia said Shaniah was able to hum Sarah Geronimo’s To Love You More in her first year. And she started singing when she learns how to speak at about 2 years old.
Asked about Shaniah’s music influences, Mia shared that her youngest sister is a big fan of Lea Salonga and Tory Kelly.
Back on her live audition, Shaniah was asked what motivates her to join and what she will with the prize should she win.
Asked by judge Denise Van Outen what she will do to the prize if ever she wins the competition, Rollo said she wants to use the money to get her siblings join them in Ireland because she already missed them.
“I want to use the money for my brothers and sisters to go here, so we can be a whole family because I really miss them so much.”

After her successful live audition, Shaniah will need to pass the judges pick on who will advance to the semi-finals round.
Ireland’s Got Talent
Ireland’s Got Talent is the Irish version of the international Got Talent series created by Simon Cowell. It was launched last February 3, 2018, and hosted by Lucy Kennedy.
Sitting as judges are Louis Walsh, Michelle Visage, Jason Bryne and Denise Van Outen.
Winner of the competition will receive €50,000 cash prize and will have a chance to star in their own primetime Christmas television special.
